Cyber Swadhinata Program
Praxis Business School has collaborated with the Cyber Security Center of Excellence, Dept. of Information Technology and Electronics, Govt. of West Bengal and Webel, to deliver the ‘Cyber Swadhinata Program’, an one of a kind industry-first professional training program aimed at imparting cybersecurity skills training to the technical resources of Govt. of West Bengal. With this COVID 19 pandemic acting as the driving force for a digital transformation, this program comes across as the need of the hour for the employees of Govt. of West Bengal in delivering seamless E-governance at a rapid pace.
The ‘Cyber Swadhinata Program’, was launched on 15th August 2020 in the presence of Mr. Rajeev Kumar, IPS ( Principal Secretary, IT&E, Govt. of WB ), Mr. Sanjay Kumar Das, WBCS-Executive (Joint Secretary, IT&E and Member Secretary, Cyber Security Centre of Excellence, Govt. of WB) and Professor Charanpreet Singh, Founder and CEO of Praxis Business School.
This was followed by a panel discussion on the various aspects of cyber security including ISMS, PIMS, GDPR and the need for cyber security awareness by veteran industry leaders like Mr. Prodip Mukhopadhyay (Managing Director, WBEIDC Limited (Webel), Mr. Tathagata Datta (Director, Cyber Security – Praxis Business School) and Mr. Debkumar Roy ( Associate Director – Cognizant) and was moderated by Mr. Nirupam Sen, (Business Head – East, British Standards Institution)
This professional Cyber Security Program will be of 20 Hours duration with contents spanning across Networking Protocols, Endpoint Security, Application Security, Database Security, Wireless Security and Controls of ISO 27001. In the first cohort 200 govt. employees across various departments will be trained over a period 5 weeks, for 2 days a week. Upon course completion, the participants will be awarded a joint certificate from the Cyber Security Centre of Excellence and Praxis Business School.
