Obtaining the Prospectus and Application form for Praxis
Prospectus for the two year fully residential Post Graduate Program in Business Management can be obtained for a non-refundable amount of Rs.1200/- (rupees one thousand two hundred only) in the following ways :
- Any of the IMS centres: Remit the requisite amount through Cash/DD*/Pay Order*/Credit Card.

- Ordering a Prospectus by post: Send your request for the prospectus and application form along with a DD*/Pay Order* for Rs.1250/- (one thousand two hundred and fifty) to, The Admissions Director, Praxis Business School, Bakrahat Road – Charaktala, P.O-Rasapunja, 24 Parganas (South), Kolkata – 700 104. All requests for obtaining the prospectus by mail must be sent only by Registered Mail with AD/Speed Post/Courier.
While mailing remember to:
- Attach the Pay Order*/DD*
- Write your name on the reverse of the Pay Order*/DD*
- 2 labels with your name and complete mailing address (with postal pincode)
*Payment by DD/Pay Order: The DD/Pay Order has to be drawn in favour of “Aim Education Pvt.Ltd” payable in Kolkata. Please mention your name in capital letters on the reverse of the DD/Pay Order.
Eligibility
Both Indian and International candidates* require a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3-year duration or equivalent grade (under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern of study or any other pattern fulfilling the mandatory requirement of 15 years of formal education) in any discipline recognized by the local educational authorities.
* Indian residents outside India, and foreign nationals, are eligible to apply as “International Candidates”. To qualify as an Indian resident outside India, a candidate should be an Indian who has lived, worked or studied outside India for at least 12 months continuously as of March 31st 2010.
Tests Accepted
- Scores in CAT 07/08/09 and/or XAT 08/09/10 would be considered valid for admission.
- Scores in GMAT/GRE taken on or after November 1st 2007 would be considered valid for admission.
In case a candidate applies on the basis of two or more tests, the best performance would be considered.

Praxis Business School has taken note of the general unrest among students who have fared below expectations in CAT 2009 and introduced an option for them to write the School’s own test, Praxis Admission Test (PAT)
Eligibility for PAT: Students with 60% in class X, XII and Graduation with no year gaps/ drops till graduation
Praxis Business School has taken note of the general unrest among students who have fared below expectations in CAT 2009 and introduced an option for them to write the School’s own test, Praxis Admission Test (PAT).
Eligibility for PAT: Students with 60% in class X, XII and Graduation with no year gaps/ drops till graduation.
Selection Criteria
- Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of their performance in CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ GRE.
- The selection will further be based on the applicants profile that comprises :
- Academic Performance
- Professional Qualifications
- Extra Curricular Activities
- Work Experience
- Short-listed candidates will be required to appear for Group Discussions followed by Personal Interviews.
- Short listed students opting for PAT would be administered PAT on the same day as his/ her group discussion and personal interview.
- The final admission would be awarded on the basis of the applicants test scores, profile and performance in Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.
The Institute will also screen the applications already received by them (with any of the test scores), and applicants among these who demonstrate a truly strong profile may still be given an option to write the PAT, if their scores do not meet the required cut-off.

Scholarships
Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC categories, girl candidates from non-metros* and servicemen or their wards are encouraged to apply. Praxis offers merit-based scholarships** of Rs. 1,00,000 (Rupees one lakh) each to selected candidates belonging to the above categories subject to the following conditions:
- Only candidates applying in the first cycle are eligible for these scholarships
- Candidates should be successful in getting admission to Praxis Business School.
- Candidates must have a minimum of 75% marks in both class X & XII and a minimum of 60% marks in graduation. Candidates appearing in their final year of graduation will also be considered.
*Candidates who have completed their X, XII and graduation in any city/ town other than Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, or Pune
** The scholarship will go towards payment of academic fee and will be apportioned in 4 equal instalments corresponding to the fee cycles of the institute.
