Praxis invites all alumni for Reunion on 15th, 16th and 17th January 2015

Praxis Business School invites all of it’s Alumni for a Reunion at the campus on 15th, 16th and 17th January 2015.

Here is Prof. Govindrajan’s personal message to all the alumni:

“This is Prof. Govindrajan here – with a spectacular disregard for word limits. So, kindly excuse….

The time has come to talk of Re-Unions. Older campuses have their re-unions after 25 years. Today, life is on fast forward mode. 25 years seems light years away.

At Praxis, we felt that we needed to create an event which will give the alumni an excuse to come back to campus. And to make this an annual feature. This is what we designed:

“Spardha” will be spread over 2 days – 15th and 16th January, 2016. The events will be held in the Praxis campus on the 15th. On the 16th, Spardha will move from the Campus Swabhumi (a venue in the city) – where we will host a number of events, including a performance by a Band (Underground Authority). CP, Prithwis, Jaydeep and I are the wrong side of 50 and hence dinosaurs when it comes to being authorities on Bands (and Manaswee is not aware of anything that is UnderGround, despite being a Chartered Accountant) – but they are supposed to be good (based on the feedback of the younger set at Praxis).

We move back to campus on the 17th of January, 2016. Here, we have our Alumni Re-Union capped with the Inter-House cultural festival (“Khoj”). This will give the erstwhile members of Nalanda, Takshashila and Ujjaini (listed in alphabetic order!) an opportunity to cross swords again, albeit by vocal support alone.

A word on the Alumni Re-Union. All alumni are welcome – and are equal. Two batches will be more equal than the others (the BM Batches of 2009 and 2010). The Logic: each batch will be a “VIP” batch once in 5 years. Since we are one year late, two batches will have the honour this year. Next year’s event will have the Batch of 2011 as the VIP Batch and so on. We again repeat – this event is for all alumni to attend and we want all to do so. The Batches of 2009 and 2010 will be VIPs and hence have even more reason to do so. Ideally, we would like your presence on all 3 days. If that is tough, do try and make it on 16th and 17th (Saturday and Sunday). And if you are married, your family is welcome!

You will be receiving a mail from Kukku/ Sanniti outlining the logistics of the event. You will also receive a mail from students asking for leads for companies. Like any T20 Match, the target score (which in this case is the funds needed for breaking even) is always met in the slog overs (which is where we are now) and we can always do with marginal third umpire decisions going our way (which, in this case is, leads from your side!).
