Srinivas Govindrajan

B.Com (Utkal), PGDM (IIM Ahmedabad)
Marketing

Has worked with the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar from 1989 to 2005 and was Director, IBAT School of Management from 2005 to 2006 before joining Praxis Business School as Dean. He has been closely associated with the placement of XIM and has coordinated with several external agencies, government institutions and other donors and funding agencies during his tenure. His team’s work on innovative methods of revenue collection mechanisms in rural areas has been incorporated in the Electricity Act, 2003 and has been appreciated by leading development banks, including the World Bank. He has worked in the industry for six years and this includes stints at PricewaterhouseCoopers and MAA Bozell. He has been a visiting faculty at XLRI, Jamshedpur since 1995 and is currently an Adjunct Faculty at XLRI in addition to being Dean at Praxis. His teaching interests include brand management and sales & distribution management. His classes create an atmosphere that encourages energetic discussion and debate.

Charanpreet Singh

Information Technology and Strategic Management

Has been a part of the corporate world for 20 years and has a rich experience in industries as varied as Cryogenics, Steel, International Trade, Consulting and IT with organizations such as British Oxygen, Tata Steel, PwC and Compaq-HP. At HP he was Country Manager, Marketing for SMB when he decided to switch to his first passion, academics, and embarked on a mission to set up a Business School of the highest quality in the country. A winner of the Chevening Scholarship for Young Managers awarded by the British Government, he has strong professional interests in the areas of information technology and business communication. He has taught at the Business School at the University of Iowa and has been a visiting faculty at some of the prominent management institutes in the country. He brings with him a good blend of real-world industry experience and academic insight and, while his courses are rooted in academic theory and fundamentals, they never let the student lose sight of the real business value of each concept.

Manaswee Kumar Samal

Finance

Dr. Manaswee Kumar Samal is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. He is also a qualified Information Systems Auditor. After completing his master’s in commerce and chartered accountancy, he completed his doctoral research on corporate accounting and disclosure practices from Utkal University, Orissa. He was a full-time faculty member in XIMB from the year 2000 to 2003. After that he has taught as visiting/adjunct faculty in institutes like XIMB, XLRI, ICFAI Business School, Praxis Business School, etc. His teaching & research interests over 12 years include Accounting, Taxation, Business Regulations, Corporate Governance and Financial Institutes & Markets. He has consulting experience of 12 years. This includes accounting and auditing experience of four years as a practicing chartered accountant. He has been advisor to Government of Orissa on state PSU reforms and infrastructure projects like ports, corporates like POSCO and many national and international development organisations. Currently he is a resource person for Options-IPE technical management support team for health sector reforms. He has been involved as a resource person in MDPs for senior managers of companies like PPL, NALCO, NTPC, etc. He is a trustee of ‘Learning Community’, a philanthropic body for education of poor students. He was also a promoting trustee of an academic institution ‘ORETUS’. At present, he is the Director of Ravenshaw Management Centre, Ravenshaw University, Cuttack.

Amit Parakh

B.Com (Hons.), ACA, CS, PGDM (IIM Ahmedabad)
Finance

Has worked extensively in the banking and equity research areas before entering academics. He has been manager with Structured Products Group, ICICI Bank, where he played a key role in carrying out valuation assignments, building credit rating models and structuring transactions. In the credit research space, his sector specialization was infrastructure and FMCG. He has also been an equity research analyst with JP Morgan where he was involved in building valuation models and financial analysis of Indian IT Services companies. He specializes in the financial sector, takes active interest in capital markets and specifically, likes to get involved in valuation assignments. Amit is seeking charter from the CFA Institute, USA, having cleared the CFA program. He conducts workshops on corporate finance, asset valuation and financial analysis.

Jaydeep Mukherjee

B. Tech (IIT Kharagpur), M.Tech(ISI Kolkata)
Production and Human Resource Area

Has been a partner in the Management Consultancy Business (MCS) of PwC. During his 11 year stint, he gathered hands-on experience in almost every aspect of the MCS practice. He promoted Cogentech Management Consultants that delivers Management and IT Consulting and Software Implementation Services to its clients. Subsequently he promoted Conacent Consulting which is engaged in providing Management and IT Consulting and Software Implementation Services. He has in-depth experience of complex software projects involving analysis, design and implementation of software solutions for companies in India and abroad.

Prasenjit Das Purkayastha

M.Sc (J.U); PGDM (Goa Institute of Management)
Marketing

Has been one of the prominent market researchers of the country in the last decade. He has worked in the top three multinational MR agencies of India – ACNielsen, TNS and IMRB International for 13 years in different research and leadership roles. Prasenjit has worked in different divisions of customized quantitative research at ACNielsen ORG-MARG and eventually became the Associate Director and Branch Head. Later, he was with IMRB International as Group Business Director. Prasenjit’s expertise lies in researching consumers from diverse range of product categories and services like Media, Personal Care, Cigarettes, Paints, Telecom, Banking and Finance. He is also teaches at the Goa Institute of Management.
