Praxis takes a step ahead for a social cause

Professor Charanpreet Singh, Founder, Praxis Business School on the eve of Foundation Day 2019 had announced the launch of the Digital Literacy Program, a social responsibility undertaken by Praxis aiming to empower underprivileged children with the knowledge of computer training. Continuing the tradition, Praxis, on Foundation Day 2020, takes a step ahead to serve a social cause by providing relief to Amphan hit areas in Sunderban.

The super cyclone Amphan in April 2020 has left the people of Sundarbans devastated and the prolonged lockdown due to Covid 19 has led to large-scale joblessness.

Tathagata Datta, Director – Cyber Security at Praxis Business School is involved in relief work for Sunderbans for long.  The block medical officer (BMO) of Joynogar in Sunderbans reached out to Praxis through the local police station soliciting help in the form of essentials and medication for 100 pregnant women whose husbands who have lost their jobs and have no source of income.

Team Praxis arranged for the relief which was handed over to these women by Professor Charanpreet Singh, Professor Sayantani Chatterjee – Associate Professor, and Tathagata Datta on 28 July 2020 at Joynagar Block Hospital. The IC of local PS and BMO extended their support and helped Praxis to handover the necessary items to these women.
