Praxis to design and deliver Suriname’s first-ever Master’s programme in Data Science in a joint initiative with the Polytechnic College, Suriname

Praxis Business School Foundation, India (Praxis) and The Polytechnic College, Suriname (PTC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on 23rd August to collaborate academically. The terms of the MoA are to design and deliver the 2-year fully online Master ICT program in Data Science.

As India’s No.1 Post Graduate Data Science Program (Analytics India Magazine Survey, 2021) and the only Indian institute to place 29 + batches of Data Science students, Praxis Business School believes that the leader for a digital tomorrow needs to understand data, be a critical thinker, a capable learner, ethical, effective communicator and understands data and technology.

This is Praxis’s first global foray and will work closely with PTC to ensure the success of the Data Science program in Suriname as well.

PTC is a university of applied sciences where project and practical education, knowledge, and technical innovation is paramount. It was set up to offer trained manpower with new-age digital skill sets to Surinamese business.

As the academic partner of the proposed online-mode Master ICT program in Data Science, Praxis will be responsible for:

  • Curriculum design in consultation with PTC
  • Faculty appointment
  • Program delivery (Online mode)
  • Conducting exams and evaluating answer scripts

PTC will be responsible for setting up a Program office, handling student admission and program administration, course infrastructure as well as the placement.

Prof. Charanpreet Singh, Co-founder and Director, Praxis Business School Foundation and Mrdrs. Robby G. Holband MSc, Director, Polytechnic College Suriname signed the MoA on behalf of their respective institutions.
