Praxis witnesses events as diverse as Mock Stock Exchange organized by FinCop, Product Launch by Ambit -the marketing club or Adda where students lock their horns over topics of debate. Some of these interactions translate into initiatives like developing a quizzing site, running a daily need store ‘Bosss…’ , or publishing a book – ‘ Practical approach to Data Warehousing’.
The Praxis student community has set up their own Consulting wing that offers solutions to business needs of corporate. Clients for consulting assignments and live projects include Kraft Foods, Jabong, HUL etc.
The students organize Spardha- the annual Praxis Inter college management fest with zeal. It scores high on both the quality of events that it featured and the quality of teams that participate. The students have also performed with credit and bagged various prizes in quizzes, debates and marketing, finance and strategy based competitions organized by other top B-Schools.
Praxis has an active E-Cell that helps groom budding entrepreneurs. An evidence of its quality of work is the National Runner-up Champion Award in the Entrepreneurship Week India 2011 organized by NEN. This event had over 6, 00,000 participants representing more than 500 institutes in India.
Praxis organizes events like plantation drives and blood donation camps that are steps to address the concerns of the environment and society. It also organizes in-house events like Khoj and Rang Manch that provide the students with some fun-filled times of drama, dance, music etc and offer students the opportunity for self expression. These moments of creativity, preparation, laughter, competition, spontaneity, learning, determination, chaos, and camaraderie are the moments that define ‘Life at Praxis.’
