The Placement Season at Praxis for the Batch of 2010 has commenced. The Batch has 40 students, of which 38 have opted to go through the Placement process. The entire process will consist of 4 “Clusters”, which is outlined below.

CLUSTER 1

Cluster 1 consisted of 5 companies from 4 Sectors. These companies have completed their selection process and recruited more than 25% of the Batch. The average salary offered so far is Rs. 5.33 lakhs. Cluster 1 included the following companies:

Banking

UBS AG selected 1 student for a Management Trainee profile located out of Hyderabad.

ICICI Bank selected 4 students – 2 for Wealth/Risk Management profiles and 2 for Marketing profiles.

Telecom

Avaya Global Connect selected 1 student for a Sales & Marketing profile based out of Gurgaon.

Information Technology

ITC Infotech selected 1 student for a Business Analyst profile based out of Bangalore.

FMCG

Allied Blenders and Distillers selected 3 students for a Management Trainee (Sales & Marketing) profile based out of Mumbai.

CLUSTER 2

Cluster 2, which is in progress, includes 7 companies from 6 Sectors, which are at various stages of their selection processes. These companies will complete their processes over the next fortnight. Cluster 2 includes:

Grant Thornton India – for a Finance Profile (Pre-Placement Offer) based out of Mumbai.

Consulting and Data Analytics:

Frost & Sullivan – for Research Analyst and Business Development Profiles – based out of Chennai, Kolkata and Pune.

Access Markets International (AMI Partners) – for Consulting/Data Analytics Profiles – based out of Bangalore and Kolkata.

Pharma:

Glenmark Generics – for Supply Chain and Finance (Treasury) Profiles – based out of Buenos Aires and Mumbai respectively.

FMCG

Philips India – Lighting Division – for a Sales & Marketing Profile. Location not confirmed.

Telecom

Vodafone Essar – for a Sales & Marketing Profile – based out of Bhubaneswar.

KPO

United Health Group – for a Business Analyst Profile – based out of Gurgaon/Hyderabad.

CLUSTERS 3 AND 4

Clusters 3 and 4 include 14 companies. These consist of:

• Companies which have confirmed participation but not yet given the dates of visit and
• Companies where discussions are in advanced stages and confirmation is expected but NOT confirmed.

These companies will be carrying out their processes over the next 4 weeks. Clusters 3 and 4 include:
