Has been a part of the corporate world for 14 years and has a rich IT experience in areas as varied as data communications, information security, converged voice -video-data infrastructure, building data centres, information lifecycle management etc. He has worked with organizations like ICIM (ICL), Data craft, IBM, Compaq and HP. At HP, he is the Country focal for infrastructure solutions for manufacturing vertical, the lead security architect and the business development manager for data centre solutions. He has been part of some of the most path breaking projects in the country in core banking and manufacturing industries. He brings with him enormous real-world experience and academic insights that help establish a strong rapport with students.
Agnimitra Biswas

Has over fourteen years of work experience in PwC Consulting and IBM, involving program and project management, software quality management, IT strategy consulting and implementation of application software. At IBM India Ltd, he is an Executive Project Manager at the Kolkata Global Delivery Center. He is a certified Project Management Professional from PMI and leads the Project Management Center of Excellence at IBM India Kolkata location.Agni’s interest area also includes eGovernance and other application of Information and Communication Technology.
Atanu Ghosh

Has been an Associate Partner/ Director (SAP Practice) with IBM India. He is currently Head of SAP Consulting Services, Nevaeh Technology Pvt. Ltd., a recently set-up business and IT consulting company. In the 15 years of his career, Atanu has been involved in delivering business and SAP solutions in sectors like iron and steel, manufacturing, oil and gas, pharmaceuticals, retail and textiles for clients like Tata Steel, Essar Steel, Ranbaxy Laboratories, Arvind Mills, Titan, Becton Dickinson, etc. He has also managed and serviced several international projects and clients including British Petroleum (UK), British Gas (UK), Ericsson (Sweden), Shell (UK), Lenovo (China). He is a management consultant of international repute and his contribution to SAP practice has been acknowledged in national and international press by various industry leaders. He also enjoys being an avid photographer with various publications in international photographic journals.

Has 20 years of experience in the IT industry wherein he has worked with organizations like IDM Ltd, Wipro Infotech Ltd, Digital Equipment Corporation, Compaq Computers & Hewlett-Packard India Ltd. He has handled various responsibilities and worked as Sr. Systems Engineer for CAD/CAM/GIS Applications in IDM Ltd, Area Support Manager, Industry Manager – Utilities Segment and Regional Sales Manager – Finance in Wipro Infotech Ltd, Enterprise Sales Manager in Digital Equipment Corporation & served as the Location Head – Eastern Region for Compaq Computers. Presently, he is serving as Country Manager – Manufacturing & Distribution Industries in Hewlett Packard for the Technology Solutions Group. He is associated with CII for Social Development Activities. He enjoys his interaction with student community and his association with management schools.

He is presently the C.E.O. of Starmark, Kolkata’s leading leisure retail chain promoted by the Emami Group. He has been closely associated with mall projects such as Emami Market and South City Mall. He has also played an important role in the growth and expansion of Landmark, the Chennai based book and music chain.

His critical management and consulting assignments span FMCG, Food Processing, Petrochemical, Retailing, Knowledge Management and Health Care industry. A Post Graduate and Fellow in Management (IIM Ahmedabad) from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. Currently he is the Dean and Professor in the marketing area at XLRI. He has also been a visiting faculty to the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad, Calcutta and Lucknow and the American University of Armenia. Prior to his stint at XLRI, he held managerial positions for 10 years in the marketing divisions of two agribusiness companies. He authored the books on ‘Marketing Channel Management: A Customer Centric Approach,’ ‘Input Management, The State of the Indian Farmer: A Millennium study’ and ‘Managing the Sales Force: A Motivational Approach.’ He has presented papers at the national and international conferences as well as published articles in leading national and international journals. He has also been involved as a consultant with several projects for both the profit and non-profit sectors.

He was a Senior Divisional Manager at TRF when he left to join XLRI in June 2005. While at TRF, he was associated with XLRI as a Visiting Faculty. His interests are in the areas of Production Planning, Project Management, Theory of constraints and managing Manufacturing-Supply Chain interfaces.

Has been working with Tata Steel for the past 11 years. He has held various marketing and sales positions in the company including that of a brand manager with one of the most successful brands of Tata Steel called ‘Tata Shaktee.’ He is presently the Chief of Agrico business of the company and is also leading the company’s retail initiative in the form of ‘Steel Junction.’ He is an avid reader and a physical fitness freak.

Dr. Suma Damodaran has been in academics for fifteen years with Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, Goa Institute of Management and Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode and is currently a member of faculty in the economics area at XLRI, Jamshedpur. Her teaching, research and consulting interests lie in the following areas of economics- microeconomics, macroeconomics, managerial economics, industrial economics, management education and issues in economic development.
Uday Damodaran

Finance Area
He has worked with Tata Consultancy Services, Xavier’s Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar, Goa Institute of Management and the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode before joining XLRI in 2005. He teaches courses in corporate finance, investments, project appraisal, finance market architecture and derivatives and risk management. He has also been involved in educational administration as Placement Coordinator at XIMB and GIM and as Chairman-PGP at IIMK.
In addition, there would be a strong panel of visiting faculty drawn from the industry, in line with the Praxis philosophy of maintaining close touch with the industry.
