Hi, I speak as one who has benefitted from attending some of these mock GD sessions. The presentation bit is extremely important and I have, over the years learnt to deploy this powerful tool in actual office environments where many people want to be heard but few actually are. Another important thing if I may add (courtesy CP again)- is what to do if you have a relatively soft voice (this one is especially for women). Use the ‘crest and trough’ tool effectively. That is just listen when the loud guys are all trying to talk and listen for a trough – where there is a short but palpable silence – a soft yet steady voice is best heard during such phases in the discussion. Even if you are just summarising, you have a better chance to be heard than otherwise. Cheers and all the best.
